Motorcycle driver seriously injured after being ejected in Amazonia

AMAZONIA, Mo. (KQTV) -- An Amazonia, Missouri, man is seriously injured after he was ejected from his motorcycle Tuesday evening in Amazonia.

The crash occurred at 5:50 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 22 at Route T and Route K.

The crash occurred as the 38-year-old man driving the 2002 Harley Davidson Motorcycle was northbound on Route K, just before Route T.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, the motorcycle failed to slow to make a northeast turn and began to skid.

The vehicle slid on its side and the driver was ejected. Both the vehicle and the driver came to rest in the intersection of Route T and Route K.

According to the crash report, the driver was not wearing a helmet. He was transported by Andrew County EMS to Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph, Missouri.
