I-29 to see bridge maintenance

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV) -- The northbound Interstate 29 bridge over westbound U.S. Route 36 will see upcoming closures as Missouri Department of Transportation crews will perform maintenance.

The closure will be effective from 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 24.

I-29 will be narrowed to one lane from the 45.8-mile marker to the 46.2-mile marker.

In addition, the northbound off-ramp from I-29 to westbound U.S. Route 36 and the on-ramp from eastbound U.S. 36 to northbound I-29 will be closed.

MoDOT said motorists are encouraged to seek an alternate route during the closure.
